Extracted rape meal is a product generated after extraction with organic fat solvents from ground and conditioned rape seeds. After extraction, the extracted rape meal is heated (toasted) in order to remove residue of the solvent and de-activate thermolabile anti-nutritious compounds. As a result of thermal processing of rape seeds, the protein of the after-extraction rape meal is characterised by the lowest decomposition in the masseter and the best intestine digestibility when compared to other rape products.
